What started as a dream became a reality in August 2024 by Brittany and Brad Richardson.
Brittany graduated from UNC-Charlotte with degrees in Criminal Justice and English, while Brad’s interest in cybersecurity led him into his career and these interests are what built The Alibi Archives.
Having interest in thriller and mystery style books, the couple decided to go out on a limb and open a mobile bookstore that attends festivals in and around the Charlotte, NC area in hopes to share their love of reading and a good brain teaser to their community.
The couple recently added their first physical location at The Marketplace in Albemarle, NC in early 2025 and hopes to continue to expand.
Brittany believes that reading is such a crucial part of live despite being in school or not. It keeps the brain working and she wishes to inspire this interest in all ages in the community. What’s better than relaxing with a great story? She also hopes to foster the love of reading in kids. Technology has taken over and a good book is the perfect detox!
As parents, the Richardson’s wish to create something that their daughter can be proud of and possibly be able to take over one day.
