Hi Friends!

The Alibi Archives online is back up and running with a slightly new look!

With any business, you stumble through the first little bit to see what works and what doesn’t, basically throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks. And as a first time business owner, I wanted to try different avenues of selling to see which worked out best and I found that selling in person seems to be the most beneficial for the company, so rather than spend the money to keep up our online store, I decided to move the domain over to a different platform and simply turn it more into a blog style spot.

I still plan on posting what we have in stock on here and creating a way for anyone interested to submit an order, so if you are a follower who doesn’t live locally to where we set up shop, you can still benefit from shopping online!

But for the time being, I wanted to give everyone an update. Along with moving our online presence over, we gained a physical location!

If you live around the Charlotte, NC area, please go check out our wall at The Marketplace in Albemarle, NC! The Marketplace is a HUGE space full of antiques, boutiques, baked goods, handmade gifts, BOOKS (of course), and so much more. You seriously could spend hours checking out everything! And the best thing, is that all the booths basically have a revolving stock, so you can go back several times and always find something new.

That is what sets The Alibi Archives aside from other bookstores. We purchase a small amount of lots of titles in the thriller genere to appeal to all ages, so when those titles are gone, we place another order with totally different titles! This way our stock stays new and exciting.

Along with a revolving stock, we also have Blind Dates With A Book. These are exactly what you think. A book wrapped up with a few adjectives to describe the book and some goodies you can enjoy with your read. The best thing about these is that NONE of these books are titles that are on our shelves! They are completely a mystery!

I know that buying a book totally blind is a little scary, but think of it this way… It’s like someone bought you a gift and wrapped it up all cute for you, but it was you who bought yourself a gift as a surprise. Treat yourself, right?

Aside from our new books and Blind Dates With A Book offerings, we also have added some used books to our shelf at The Marketplace along with some other goodies such as game day champange flutes.

If you have time to make it out to Albemarle, NC to check out The Marketplace, please do so! You would be supporting so many small businesses along with allowing vendors to continue to do what they love!
